Spring break with Teach on the Beach gives you 7 days on Ghana's most beautiful beach and the chance to teach students who we will love and remember you forever.

Our After School and NewsHour programs run year round, engaging hundreds of students with reading, writing, math, art, sports, and more. We provide the enthusiastic students and plenty of resources; you share your time.

You are also welcome to come for double the length or arrive/depart on other dates. Go ahead and register! We have flexible dates.

Details:

  • How much? Effective: 9/1/2016, $995 for beachside accommodations and more (see below)
  • How long? 10 days including travel time, with 7 days on Ghana's cleanest and best surfing beach
  • Who? A staff with a combined decade of experience living, working and teaching in Ghana
  • Where? Stay at the Teach on the Beach House with 24/7 beach access
  • What will I do?
    • Teach and work in the local Elementary schools, after school and in the community 5 hours a day. Read More about our programming

    • Visit politically and culturally influential Elmina Slave Castle
    • Enjoying the tropical sun, surf and sand!

What's Not Included

  • Excursions (see Adventure Excursions)
  • Travel Insurance (required) Teach on the Beach uses and recommends Travel Guard or Volunteer Card. Ask us for more information.
  • Round trip airfare. Contact us for help taking advantage of group airfare rates.

Travel Policies

  • Refund Policy. Given the needs of our organization - the needs of the children - we cannot offer refunds on any transaction. Deposits, housing, meal, transportation, excursion, and program fees collected are final and non-refundable.

  • Volunteer Conduct. If a guest or volunteer blatantly violates the code of conduct (all guests are required to read and sign), they will be expelled from the house at their expense.

  • Travel Insurance. All guests and volunteers are required to purchase travel insurance.
